Since the beginning of the year, we have placed over 27,238 books in 578 public libraries, schools, prisons, and community reading centers across the country. We are proud to distribute these books in the name of our 2023 honoree Rirkrit Tiravanija.
Inspired by Rirkrit’s pluralistic, ephemeral, and boundary-crossing practice, we have been thinking about how each book we distribute is not just an object on a shelf but an open medium of communication, imagination, and productive (mis)translation. In 2024, we look forward to catalysing new connections with Rirkrit's work by releasing a free online teaching guide on his artistic methods as part of our Reading Resources series.
We hope that you will again grant us your support and help us connect readers across barriers of difference and imagine better ways of being together.
